11th International show of the equipment & processes for water treatment, waste recycling & recovery, Wasma, was held within the period of October, 28 - 30, 2014 in Moscow, in the "Sokolniki" exhibition centre.Within the framework of the Wasma 2014 show the leading Russian & foreign companies demonstrated innovations in the equipment & technologies designed for storing, transportation, grading, recycling & recovery of organic, biological, industrial waste, solid household garbage and many other exhibits. 80 companies from Great Britain, Germany, Italy, China, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Sweden & Russia participated in the exhibition. Anton Ohlert & its companies - partners, Andritz Mewa и Lyndex Recycling System, were among the exhibitors & presented the equipment for grading, recycling & reduction in the amount of waste.
Each year increasing interest is demonstrated amongst the branch professionals towards the show. This year 2 572 experts from 60 regions of Russia & 25 world countries visited Wasma. Over 66 % visitors belonged to the top managers of the companies exercising sufficient influence on decision making with reference to purchases.
The show exposition included two sections by subject. Within the framework of the "Waste recycling & recovery" section the experts were afforded the opportunity to survey the advanced solutions in the area of SHG recycling & grading, construction waste, industrial & solid organic waste as well as complex solutions for waste transportation.
The International business-forum, "Waste management, SHG recycling, waste incineration" arranged by a Group of ITE companies in cooperation with the European-Russian business association, ERBA, has become the key event of the show business program.
In the speech of welcome delivered by Rinat Gizatulin, Deputy Minister of natural resources & ecology of the Russian Federation, & addressed to the Forum participants, Mr. Gizatulin declared as follows: "Assurance of ecological security in handling of waste is referred to the most pressing trends of environmental protection issues. According to the data submitted by the Governmental statistical observation an average of nearly 4 billion t waste is annually generated in the Russian Federation. Approximately 90 % of this value are represented by waste resulted from the production, enrichment & primary recycling of mineral raw materials. The Ministry has made several arrangements designed to improve the efficiency of waste flow management, to assure the economical security & economic encouragement. I am sure that the International business - forum will enable to acquire urgent information, express opinions as well as ask all questions of interest".
The plenary meeting, "Status & development of the waste handling sector in Russia", was held on the first day of the Forum. The leading experts discussed prospects for the development of the domestic sector of waste management & SHG recycling, annexes & alterations in the Russian legislation. Reports were presented by Natalia Sokolova, Head of the department of the State ecological control, Rosprirodnadzor; Alexander Moiseev, Vice-President of the Union "the National association of self-regulating institutions of operators in the area of production & consumer waste handling" (NОСОО); Pavel Bratukhin, First Deputy Director of the department of operations with municipal projects of "Bank of Moscow" & other official persons.
Members of the Forum devoted the second day to the discussion of the global & Russian experience gained in recycling & utilization of the renewable biological waste, examination of pressing issues of water supply & water disposal in the megalopolis conditions, waste water treatment technology for water services companies & industrial facilities & many other issues.
The Wasma 2014 show was held with the support of the RF Ministry of natural resources & ecology, Department of management of nature & environmental protection of the city of Moscow, Department of housing & communal facilities & redevelopment of the city of Moscow & Moscow regional Ministry of ecology & management of nature.
