FAWEMA offers a comprehensive production program (see our Machines overview in useful links) covering the whole production chain from production or feeding of bags to commissioning of equipment, namely: dosing, filling, closing/sealing, data printing, controlling, grouping of packages, wrapping of blocks into shrink film, etc.

We offer both stand alone machines & complete lines for filling & packaging of dry bulk products of various consistencies.

In terms of a pack size, pack weight & efficiency FAWEMA machines embrace a large spectrum: ranging from 100-gr. bags to sacks offering the capacity of 25 kg. High-efficient machines produce up to 135 packs per minute. The final stage of the production program includes machines designed for grouping of single packs into blocks with further wrapping in paper or shrink film.

Packaging in pre-made bags / powder -Series 10, 100, 300

Due to chamber transportation system of the above series of FAWEMA packaging machines in combination with the effective compaction of product these machines are particularly suited for packaging of powder products. Owing to the line design a bag, from filling up to leaving the machine, remains in the transport system where it is precisely guided from all sides, compacted & fed to the closing section. The whole process can be monitored from one vantage point.

In combination with a net weigher or chamber fillers granulated products can also be processed.

Packaging in pre-made bags / granulate & piece products - Series 35, 40, 100, 400

The above series of FAWEMA packaging machines are best suited for packing of granulate & piece products. They are equipped with readily exchangeable rack transport system for simple & easy change of formats. Due to the line design a bag, from filling up to leaving the machine, remains in the transport system where it is precisely guided from all sides, compacted & fed to the closing section. The whole process can be monitored from one vantage point.

Machines operated from a reel designed for powder & granulated products / paper - series 600/ film – series 100

Packaging machines, Series 600, offer inline paper bag production directly from reel. Bags are formed on mandrels & glued. Further on they are transferred to the transport chain, filled, compacted by vibration, pre-folded & sealed.

Machines Series 100 & 700 produce film or film laminate bags from reel material. One or two upstream vertical bag forming machines manufacture bags from film. Filling can be performed via a forming tube or in a separate station.

In all machine series a bag, from filling to leaving the machine, remains in the transport system, where it is precisely guided from all sides, compacted & fed to the closing section. The whole process can be monitored from one vantage point.

Machines for the production of bags from a film reel

FAWEMA company is also engaged in the production of bag form, fill & seal machines, both horizontal & vertical, for standard & high-output applications.

The standard design of VI/VC 250, VI/VC 380, VI/VC 380/560, VI/VC 600 series includes:

 Auger fillers

FAWEMA auger fillers comply with the latest developments of filling technology. Robust design, large hoppers, powerful drives, variable ramps & dosing speeds as well as parameters of control precisely selected for a certain product ensure accurate results of filling even for high outputs. A feeding hopper divided into sections can be readily opened & cleaned.

FAWEMA auger fillers can be supplied as individual machines or integrated into packaging lines. All FAWEMA fillers are able to receive & process trend signals from a downstream weigher.

 Check-weighers

As part of its delivery program FAWEMA offers check-weighers, E series, product of GARVENS company, provided with an automatic feedback to filling machines to optimize the filling process and to minimize product giveaway. It includes a printer for printout of statistical data related to products. The standard of E2 & E3 series of check-weighers includes adjustable height of transportation as well as the possibility to vary movement direction & smooth speed control.

 Collators / Secondary packaging

For the sector of secondary wrapping FAWEMA offers automatic collator / packaging lines in shrink film or kraft-paper. Machines for packaging into kraft paper are employed primarily in sugar industry while other sectors favor less expensive shrink film.

Several upstream packaging lines can just as well be connected to the collator / packaging machines for wrapping in shrink film.

Bags with vertical closures can also be processed.

Size of collations and arrangement of bags in the block are defined at your option. Outputs of up to 20 wraps per minute can be reached.

 Auxiliary devices

Upon request of our customers we can complete our lines with auxiliary equipment: control dosing systems (Top-Up system), metal detectors, ink-jet coders & blind stamping machines, rejecters for packages with wrong weights, etc.

The FAWEMA company has at its disposal the largest in the world delivery program of machines for packaging flour & cereals. By the present moment FAWEMA has supplied over 1000 plants. Depending on the application various machine concepts are offered:
 for high outputs - machines operating with paper reels,
 for medium output - flexible machines operating with pre-made bags or film reels,
 for low outputs – semi-automatic solutions.

All machines feature high standards with respect to maintenance & hygiene.

The unique FAWEMA transport system ensures efficient compaction of product ensures and thus perfectly shaped bags. The integrated sealing unit enables perform all standard types of sealing (see useful links). Various dosing systems, e.g., auger dosing or net weighers, meet all the requirements related to the nature of products. If necessary, flour mixes & cereals can also be packed in a protective gas environment.

With the capacity of up to 110 cycles per minute bags within the format range from 50 to 380 mm wide, from 25 to 140 mm deep & from 160 to 700 mm high, within the weighing range from 0,5 kg to 25 kg can be processed.

As a measure against abrasive properties of sugar FAWEMA offers a number of constructive arrangements significantly contributing to the widely recognized long service life of FAWEMA machines. In a rapid & precise manner FAWEMA machines process both the packaging material from a reel & pre-made bags.

A combination of both systems can also be supplied.

Alongside with the traditional paper packaging FAWEMA machines can also operate with film. The product range is completed by "bag-in-box" solutions.

The efficiency of FAWEMA machines for special kinds of sugar such as brown sugar, icing sugar, fructose, sugar powder, candy and tea sugar has been repeatedly proven in practice.

FAWEMA packaging machines for sugar products process up to 135 bags per minute with weights ranging from 0,5 to 25 kg. Bag sizes embrace the range from 60 to 340 mm wide, from 25 to 160 mm deep & from 160 to 700 mm high.

FAWEMA packaging machines for tea have been specifically developed with due regard for high standards of this branch in terms of exclusivity, quality as well as careful handling of the product. They offer superior performance& effective compaction of the product.

The transport system is extremely gentle on the packaging and suited even for high-gloss packaging materials. The machines' modular construction makes it possible to optimally integrate additional components such as product tampers, card inserters, labeling machines, etc. Format & product changes can be carried out quickly & easily. Depending on requirements, packaging material can be paper/aluminum laminate or plastic. The bags can be pre-made or made from film-reel during the in-line process.

Tea is packed at the rate of up to 120 cycles per minute with the weight of the product being filled ranging from 50 to 1.000 g per bag. Bag sizes range from 60 to 120 mm width, from 40 to 120 mm depth (bottom / gusset) and from 160 to 400 mm height.

Ever increasing demand of this sector with regard to packaging materials, format sizes, products & closure types require flexible & operator-friendly packaging machines. Long-term experience & innovative technologies resulted in development of machine concepts enabling gentle handling of high-gloss packaging materials, both paper- and film-based.

Employment of servo technology in combination with industrial computers makes it feasible to process a wide range of products with high packaging output. Fast change of formats, which, if required, could also be done automatically, just at a push of a button, ensures the shortest period of readjustment & maximum flexibility in the production planning. FAWEMA packaging machines process both materials from a reel & pre-made bags. Nearly all types of closure required by the market can be made available, including re-closing and carrying systems.

Highly wear-resistant machine designs with abrasion-proof materials are used to package abrasive cat litter.

At an output performance of up to 80 package units per minute, product weights of 0,5 to 25 kg can be filled into bags of 120 - 500 mm width, 70 to 180 mm depth (bottom / gusset) and 300 to 800 mm height.

More than 30 years of experience in this sector make FAWEMA a competent partner for the building chemicals industry. Dust, varying flow behaviours and abrasive properties of the product to be bagged, greatly varying powder densities and difficult densification – these are the general conditions packaging machine have to be designed for.

Various product-specific vibration & evacuation system ensure effective product densification & perfect filling results. In the large bag sector, filling below the product level enables bags to be filled in nearly dust-free conditions. Diverse types of dustproof upright and flat closures are possible. Optimum product densification guarantees trouble-free and efficient palletising.

As a rule, building compounds are filled into pre-made bags & sacks. Cycle rates are between 5 and 35 units per minute with product weights ranging from 0,5 to 30 kg. Bag dimensions range from 60 to 380 mm width, 40 to 160 mm depth (bottom / gusset) & 160 to 800 mm height.

While cardboard boxes used to be the most common type of packaging in this sector until a few years ago, today most & cleaning agents come packaged in flexible, recyclable packaging materials – a very efficient measure of waste and cost reduction.

FAWEMA packaging machines designed for packaging the above products make use of packaging from reel or into pre-made bags. Film or film composites are used as material.

A special feature of FAWEMA machines is the separation between the bag making and bag filling processes. The product is compacted before the bag is closed. Folding just above the densified filling level produces a compact and neatly closed bag.

Powdered detergents & cleaning agents can be processed with cycle rates of up to 80 packages per minute and filling weights of 0,5 to 10 kg. Bag sizes range from 60 to 320 mm width, 40 to 160 mm depth (bottom / gusset) and 200 to 650 mm height.
