Flat wafers

The above products can also be referred to flat wafers which are complemented by a top filling layer sprinkled with chopped nuts or other material, glazing, decoration. Products in the form of a chocolate bar with a wafer sheet are the most expensive.

Shaped wafers & products with a wafer shell

These are products composed of two filled halves integrated into a single body. They feature diverse shapes: balls, tubes, pyramids, in the shape of a nut, fruit, berry, figurine of animals, etc.

Quite often a filling can be replaced by a whole kernel of a nut or chopped nut.

Outer finishing: glazing, sprinkling, decoration.

Wafer bread

Process engineering is similar to the wafer sheet baking.

The difference lies in dough formula, thickness & shape of the sheet surface.
