In 1998 г. the Hebenstreit company celebrated its 100-year anniversary.

The company was founded in Radebeul neat Dresden at the end of the 19 century.

After the Second World war the company proceeded with its business activities as a state-owned enterprise under the name of "Rapido Waagen and Madchinenfabric" on the territory of the former GDR and which, alongside with other companies, effected deliveries of its products via the foreign trade concern "NAGEMA" to the USSR under the name of "NAGEMA" – about 1500 wafer ovens, G-30 / Е-30 series.

Ex-owners of the "Hebenstreit" company moved to Frankfurt-on-Main where, and later on in Morfelden, its suburb, re-established the "Hebenstreit" company.

Each of the above companies followed its own course in the area of the development & was guided by its sales outlet.

In a few years after unification of Germany, 21.11.1997, these companies reunited and the "Rapido" factory was named as "Hebenstreit Rapido".

Currently the "Hebenstreit" company enjoys the richest experience of two factories being the oldest designer & producer of the wafer equipment.

The company motto: with due regard for the experience mastered in the field of deliveries & operation of the equipment worldwide to produce the equipment which features simplicity & comfort in maintenance & meets the latest achievements of science & engineering.
