Ingot turning machines series DAR and DSR
The ingot turning machines series DAR and DSR are used for pre- and finish-machining
of round cast blocks made of aluminum, brass alloys and steel, as well as forged blocks.
The machines provide fully automatic operation and can be integrated into a production line.
A rigid frame design, which is totally enclosed, is provided with our machine.
Work piece clamping is done hydraulically by a special face driving chuck. The
support is guided above the work piece on a traverse bed. This ensures an
unobstructed downward discharge of the chips. Chips are conveyed by a
continuously running chip conveyor to a chip bin outside the machine.
The work pieces which are conveyed on a roller table to the machine are separated
outside the machine. Parallel to the turning operation, the workpieces are
aligned and centered outside the machine housing. After the work pieces have
been completely machined they are automatically unclamped, removed from
the working area and transported away on a roller table.

Machining of the work piece is done simultaneously with two turning tools.
All guides and driving components are hermetically sealed from the working area in order to protect them from chips and scales.
After front and rear doors of the working area of the machine have been opened. The centered block enter the working area and the machined block is simultaneously conveyed to an out-feed roller table located at the rear side of the machine.
This double function reduces the set-up time to a minimum.
The machined blocks are deposited from the roller table onto a table for removal.
